Fuel filter
A clogged filter starves the engine when you ask for power.
Fuel pump (in-tank)
A weak pump can't keep pressure up at higher loads.
High-pressure fuel pump or sensor
On direct-injection engines the high-pressure pump or its sensor is the usual culprit.
