This Refund Policy is part of the Drive DTC Terms of Service. It explains how refunds work for Drive DTC plans, brand packs and license codes. Nothing in this policy limits any refund right you have under the law where you live that can't be waived.
The short version
Drive DTC has a free version and a demo vehicle that unlocks every feature, so you can see how the app works before paying. Not every vehicle, adapter or feature is supported, and results vary by vehicle. Please check compatibility with the free version, using your own vehicle and adapter, before you buy.
Drive DTC Pro, Drive DTC Shop and brand packs bought in the Microsoft Store are sold and processed by Microsoft. We don't receive your payment details and can't issue refunds for Store purchases ourselves. To ask for a refund, go to account.microsoft.com → Payments & billing → Order history, find the purchase and choose Request a refund. Whether a refund is given is decided by Microsoft under its policies.
License codes – whether bought from us, from a reseller, or given away – are final once a code has been activated on any computer, and are otherwise final 14 days after they were delivered. We don't give refunds for activated codes, including for change of mind, for vehicles, adapters or features that aren't supported, or for codes turned off because they were shared, resold or misused in violation of our Terms. Free, trial and promotional codes have no cash value.
If you bought a license code directly from us and it hasn't been activated, you may ask us for a refund within 14 days of delivery. We'll review each request and may refund it at our discretion. Codes bought from a reseller are refunded, if at all, by that reseller.
If we give your account a plan or brand pack directly (for example under a separate agreement with a shop), any refund terms are the ones in that agreement. Otherwise, it follows section 3.
Features, supported vehicles and "coming soon" brands can change as described in our Terms of Service. A change, or a coming-soon brand that isn't released, isn't by itself a reason for a refund, except where the law requires one.
If something's wrong, please email us first at [email protected] – most problems can be fixed quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card company instead, we may turn off the related license codes or plans and suspend the account while the dispute is open, and we may share records such as activation dates, the terms you agreed to, and product use with the payment provider to respond to the dispute. Filing a dispute you know to be false can break the law.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. The policy in effect when you made a purchase applies to that purchase, except where the law says otherwise.
